ATTENTION ALL ORDAINED ELDERS AND DEACONS: While St. Andrew’s does not utilize Deacons in its ministry, it is indeed an honor and a privilege to have been ordained as a Deacon or an Elder in the Presbyterian Church USA. We are reviewing our records and updating when necessary. If you were previously ordained as either Elder or Deacon in another Presbyterian Church, would you please let me know? It would be helpful if you included the year and the church, but not mandatory. You may see me in person, put a note in my box by the Secretary’s office, email me at PhidgeHowe@gmail.com, or give me a call (810)240-4390. We are blessed with your commitment to the Lord’s work. NEWCOMERS AND OLDCOMERS! Whether you are interested in joining St. Andrew’s, learning more about St. Andrew’s, finding out what it means to be Presbyterian, or just want to have a great fellowship time, plan on joining the NEWCOMER’S GROUP this fall. The group will meet for 5 weeks, typically on Sunday evenings, in the homes of current St. Andrew’s members. Topics of discussion include a brief history of the Presbyterian Church and OUR church, what Presbyterians believe, what makes St. Andrew’s so special, how our church functions both from within and in the greater mission field, opportunities at St. Andrew’s (music ministries, mission, leadership, Bible studies and education for all ages, nurturing ourselves and others), a tour of St. Andrew’s nooks and crannies, and topics of the group’s choice. It’s a lot to pack into 5 weeks; a truly enjoyable and memorable time for all. If you are interested in learning more, let Pastor Dave or Phidge Howe know. In the meantime, keep an eye out over the summer for more details. We look forward to spending some time getting to know each other better!
