WE NEED YOUR FAVORITE RECIPES: Please keep on bringing in your favorite recipes. We will continue to have recipe papers available until November, so that we may have the book put together in December. Please be sure to write recipes carefully as we will not be rewriting them (in large print please) Please provide the information & items to Peggy G., Sharol R., Joanne J. or Deb R. and let us know if you have any questions.
CONGRATULATIONS: Tom and Julie Princinsky are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary after worship! Congratulations and best wishes for many more years to come.
LIFE'S A PICNIC: So why not enjoy one? August 12th, we are holding our annual St. Andrew’s picnic (potluck) after worship. You won’t have to go far, because we are having it here. Looking for 10x10 canopies and yard games, the sign-up sheet is on the round table nearest Pastor’s office.
PNC NEWS-FINAL NOTICE: The last question for the congregational input to the pastor call process was distributed July 8th. Today is the deadline for returning all. Your answers will guide the committee in writing the Mission Study and the Church Information Form. If you have questions, please see a member of the PNC. The PNC will be meeting on August 9th. Please keep the committee in your prayers.
LOOKING FOR A FEW GOOD NERDS! It is time for St. Andrew’s to march forward in the 21st century with a social media presence. If you are familiar with Facebook, and are knowledgeable in setting up or maintaining a Facebook page, Gary Keinath would love to hear from you. Gary will be spearheading a small task force whose goal is to develop a St. Andrew’s page on Facebook. He will also be looking for folks willing to snap a few pics now and then. Please consider helping us move forward in reaching out to those who might be looking for God’s love and St. Andrew’s. You can speak to Gary after Worship Service, or put a note in the collection plate. Let’s get the WORD out there!
FALL NEWSLETTER: It’s that time again; our Fall Newsletter is coming up! This is just a friendly reminder that the deadline for the Fall Newsletter is August 16th. Please feel free to drop off any of your newsletter materials in the secretary’s mailbox or email it to: Office@StAndrewsDavison.org
HANDICAP PARKING: It is with grateful hearts to God, Wanda, Pastor Dave, Session, Doug, Bryan, and anyone else who had a part in the handicapped accessible parking project that we say THANK YOU! Wanda was so kind to listen to our concerns and present our information to Session about a situation our family (and many other families/individuals) deals with on a daily basis - the lack of adequate handicapped parking and the lack of respect for handicapped parking spaces. It is our hope that the entire church has a new perspective on why these spaces are needed and why they need to be reserved for the individuals that have the proper permit to park there. Our motto is: "Don't park in the blue if it's not for you!" Thanks again to our church family for going above and beyond to meet the needs of the disabled people in our congregation and any disabled visitors as well.
