Due to the COVID-19 virus, the Session of St. Andrew’s has voted
to suspend inside activities, not including worship, at our facility.
Our worship service is each Sunday at 10:00.
We have began in-person worship services along side our parking lot and Facebook Live services. Masks and social distancing are required.
As this is a fluid situation, we will continue to monitor local, state, federal, and common sense guidelines. We will update as needed.
The congregation of St. Andrew’s has proven to be great Prayer Warriors, continuing to support, love, and nurture one another. We pray for each other, our community, and the world always, but particularly and mightily during this difficult time as our sense of normalcy changes day by day.
Reminder: Next Sunday is Reformation Sunday; Presbyterians celebrate the tradition that grounds their faith on Reformation Sunday. It is always the last Sunday in October, marking the occasion in 1517 when Martin Luther posted his 95 theses on the church door in Wittenberg, Germany. We will be celebrating the Sacrament of Communion. Please don’t forget to wear your Plaid. Bagpiper, William Murray, has agreed to play for us on this special day.
Bible Study: will be doing lesson #42 “A Gracious Judge” [October 27th].
Mission Honduras 2021: We will be collecting over-the- counter medicines of all types now through November 14th for mission work in El Porvenir, Honduras. St. Andrew’s has supported this mission for several years. Items may be given to Loraine Clark, Diane Roetter or left on the Kitchen Counter in Calvin Hall. There is a great need because no mission teams have been to the area in two years.
The Blanket/Quilt Program: Blankets/Quilts for small children can be brought to the church at any time now to be taken to Flint Eastside Mission and Outreach East of Davison by Diane Roetter. Knitters please also remember the hats and scarfs as well, for the colder weather will soon be here.
Prayer Requests: St. Andrew’s has a mighty prayer presence and very devoted prayer warriors! If you would like something to go out to our warriors via our Prayer Tree, please contact Pastor Linda, Ozzy Dobbs during working hours, or Phidge Howe at other times. You MUST mention in the email, text, or phone call that you would like this prayer request to go out via the Prayer Tree. If not, Pastor, Ozzy and Phidge assume that you are just asking for personal prayers. Thank you, pray on!
Outreach East: This is an emergency resource center serving individuals and families with food and other essentials in the Davison, Goodrich, and Otisville area. We at St. Andrews can continue our support by donating deodorant, shampoo, bar soap, toilet paper and diapers. Items may be dropped off at the mission at 425 N Genesee St (810-653-7711 for hours) or brought to St. Andrews on Sunday mornings.
Flint Eastside Mission: Donations of clothing, household items, & personal items can be taken to the main building at 1917 Delaware Flint, MI 48506 or brought to our church and Diane Roetter will collect and deliver them.
