SHARING IN PRAYER THIS MORNING: You are invited to share concerns and joys this morning. Fill out a prayer form and drop it in the basket in the narthex; they will be shared at prayer time. We ask that if you fill out a prayer request for someone PLEASE include their first and last name, their relationship to you, what they need prayers for (no need to get detailed if you don’t want- you can simply say they are sick, they are having troubles, etc.) and an address if you wish for Care Committee to send a card. This will make things easier for Care Committee to send their cards and make it easier for everyone to pray specifically for these folks. Thank you.

THE PNC IS WORKING: Please continue to keep them in your prayers.

COOK BOOK DELAY: We apologize for the delay with the cook books; we are working on them and hoping to have them finished and passed out ASAP.

CELEBRATION: We will be celebrating Pastor Dave’s birthday directly after worship in Calvin Hall. Please plan on staying and celebrating his special day with him and enjoying birthday cake.

SECRETARY OUT OF OFFICE: Tuesday, February 12th, our Secretary will be out due to a family appointment. She will be back in the office Wednesday, February 13th.

WINTER FELLOWSHIP POT LUCK: There will be a Winter Fellowship Pot Luck on February 17th; a sign-up board will be up soon. Be thinking of foods that bring you comfort during these long cold winter days.

DIRECTORY UPDATE: We apologize for not catching it sooner, but Jean Shultz’s info was missing from our new directory, here it is!

A Prayer for Bangladesh
4 February 2019

O God of compassion and healing, we pray for 17-year-old Sharmin, married at age fourteen and now four months pregnant. A month ago, she began having pain in her back and then lost the strength in her legs, so that now she cannot stand or even get out of bed by herself. X-rays and other tests have revealed she has tuberculosis of the spine, with an abscess pressing on her spinal cord. Treatment will require that she give up her unborn child; and even then, it is unclear whether she will be able to walk again. Lord, have mercy upon this young woman. Anoint her with your healing grace and envelop her with the tenderness of your everlasting love, we pray in the name of Christ the Savior. Amen.
